Welcome to the Un-Official St. Brendan High Alumni Association (SBHAA) website. This is a very old web site and is no longer active. Since it appears that the former SBHAA site has been shut down, I wanted to bring this one back for historic reference. It hasn't been updated in many years but it was still on my servers. I'm no longer active with the Alumni Assocation. Please do not send me any updates. I urge you to contact the school directly to update your inforamtion. In this site, we hope that you will find ways to connect back with your alma mater, lost classmates, and get involved in different aspects of St. Brendan.Do you remember your first day at St. B? What about the Encounters, Retreats, Homecoming & Christmas Formals, Games, and Powder Puff? Talent Show, Fall Follies, Raffle telegrams, and Debate/Drama Competitions, also come to mind. What clubs were you in? What did you learn at St. B that has contributed to your success? This is what this site and our organization is about, reconnecting you to Saint Brendan High while benefiting future generations of Sabres to come. There are a few special legacies that stand out at St. B. First, the school boasts about a 1/3 ratio of alumni faculty. Second, we are beginning to see the sons and daughters of Alumni come to school at our Alma Mater. With this in mind, we founded the St. Brendan High Alumni Association to ensure that the legacy is carried on. The Alumni Association is still in its beginning stages. We need your support and involvement to truly make this a valuable organization for St. Brendan, its Alumni, Students, and Faculty. We encourage everyone to become annual members. The annual dues are $25 a year, or you can become lifetime members for a one time contribution of $500. We also welcome you to join in our annual campaign to benefit the Father Dennehy Memorial Fund, which will now be a subset of the Alumni Association. The Fund is dedicated to raising funds to assist current students at SBHS that have an urgent need. When a student's family is affected in a way where they are met with the prospect of having to leave St. Brendan, we step in on an anonymous basis to subsidize their tuition and ensure that they don't have to. Our goal is to make sure all St. Brendan students get the same experience that was afforded to each of us. I welcome you to browse through our site. You'll find ways to reconnect with your classmates, learn more about the legacy of the Green & White, join the Alumni Association, attend special Alumni events, submit reflections of your time at St. B to share with other alums, and stay up to date with the latest school happenings. Finally, we want to hear from you. Please feel free to email us at sabres@stbrendanalumni.org with any comments, thoughts, or suggestions you have to make our site and our organization better for you. After all, that is what we are here for. Thanks for all you do for Saint Brendan High and Go Sabres! Javi Borges |
